We’re sharing the fruits of our labors!

I know the end of summer can be a sad point for many, but to me it’s the fullness of nature’s bounty. It's the work of the year’s first seven months- all the fruits and vegetables, all the herbs, spices, and flowers- they’ve all grown to their full potential, and now is the time to savor and enjoy what all your work has produced.

Similarly, J2 has been building a few new things this year, and we could not be more thrilled to bring these technical innovations to the table.

First, we worked with InterSystems, Manifest MedEx, and Parexel on a proof of concept for the HL7 Vulcan Interoperability Bridge (VIB) program. The world of clinical research is working to catch up on all the interoperability advances the rest of the healthcare industry has been enjoying, and the VIB program has introduced 6 new implementation guides to help clinical research organizations see the tangible value of HL7 FHIR.

We’ve also been working on our own project: making SDOH data more accessible for clinicians. We built a new SDOH Solution Pack. It allows easy access to SDOH data and uses AI-powered natural language processing to seamlessly integrate paper forms into usable, viewable EHR data. We’ve got a charity initiative coinciding with this new technology— for every demo we give, we’re providing food for a nutritionally insecure family. We’re happy to put time on your calendar—just reply to this email, and we’ll set something up!

Will you see a demo and feed a family in the process?

Six New Implementation Guides From HL7 Vulcan

HL7 Vulcan has launched six new implementation guides as part of our Vulcan Interoperability Bridge (VIB) program — a significant milestone in bringing the power of FHIR standards to clinical research.

With support from the ASTP and the FDA, 23 industry leaders collaborated on these 6 new guides, providing fully baked, ready-to-implement concepts that will bring tangible value to the world of clinical research. Focused on the areas of improved research site operations and the utilization of real-world data, these proofs of concept deliver faster reporting and reduced study costs.

J2 could not have been more thrilled to join Qi Li and InterSystems, Nick Yarker and Manifest MedEx, and Sergey Krikov and Parexel in building this proof of concept for the Vulcan Interoperability Bridge program. We were honored to lend our technical expertise in building out the HIE VIB, showcasing the power of real-world data in long-term medication tracking and reporting. Congratulations to all our fellow VIB cohort champions and collaborators—this is truly a milestone worthy of champagne! 🥂

If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our demo here.

See you at Civitas!

J2 has been building new integrations for InterSystems HealthShare, making it easier to access and use SDOH data, and we’ll be showcasing our new, integrative solution at Civitas! It allows easy access to SDOH data within the clinical viewer and uses AI-powered natural language processing to seamlessly integrate paper forms into usable, viewable EHR data.

If you want to see a demo, respond to this email! We have a charity initiative coinciding with Civitas this year—for every demo we give, we’re supporting food for a nutritionally insecure family.

In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more, we have a webpage with more information, including a replay of our SDOH webinar with Civitas and the HL7 Gravity Project.

See you there!
