Spring is here, and so is conference season!

The days are getting longer, warmer, and increasingly more full with an absolutely PACKED spring conference season! It’s a time of increased connection, valuable conversations, the metaphorical planting of seeds, and the beginnings of big things.
I’m so pleased that our own Steve Heard has been elected to the HL7 Vulcan Steering Committee and will be playing a role in shaping the future of FHIR implementations in clinical research.
And of course, all of J2 is Feeling READY for the annual InterSystems conference just 3 short weeks away. You’re going to want to put Wednesday, April 29th at 1:30 pm on your calendar- Chadwicks' IT Director Colm Scannell and J2 Director of Professional Services Paul Cranston will be presenting on Modernization Without Tears: How Chadwicks Revolutionized Its Applications With IRIS.
Chadwicks, Ireland’s largest home improvement retailer, has been modernizing its 40-year-old Accustar ERP application suite, which serves both its retail locations and its entire back office, without losing its historical data or rich business logic. Leveraging the InterSystems IRIS Data Platform, the project utilizes AI-augmented development workflows and Azure DevOps pipelines to wrap application logic with open RESTful APIs and a web-based UI—accelerating productivity while maintaining transactional integrity between legacy and modern systems.

HIMSS was something else, kicking off with the InterSystems Sphere reception and entering into a sea of smiles and familiar faces. The InterSystems booth was full of engaging and informative sessions, most notably on the new InterSystems Payer Connector, a solution built to help health plans rapidly and reliably integrate Epic Payer Platform with their broader application ecosystem, using a governed hub that transforms and routes data to and from core health plan systems. It was a treat to see so many of our friends, and thank you to everyone who joined the J2 Darts After Dark afterparty!





ViVE



J2’s VP of Strategy and Growth, Brian Fives, was shaking hands and sharing smiles with several of our friends and partners on the show floor at VIVE this year. Shout out to Bill Carter and the Centauri team for a great conversation and a classy photo!


State Health IT



Rural Health Transformation was the big topic at this year's State Health IT conference in New Orleans. The Big Easy was abuzz with the ways interoperability can enable better outcomes through enhanced reporting, better data quality, and decision support.  We enjoyed supporting our friends from Leidos and InterSystems at their session, which described our work in North Dakota and the groundbreaking Converge Medicaid Modernization Platform.


Women’s History Month



Happy International Women's Day from J2 Interactive! We’re celebrating the outstanding achievements, contributions, and inspiration women bring to our workplaces and communities every day. The theme for this year is “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations”- something we explored all month long through a special employee spotlight series.
