Funding Will Connect New York’s Regional Exchanges, Expand Participation
ALBANY, NEW YORK, March 31, 2014 — As reported by Healthcare Informatics, the New York State Legislature approved $55 million in funding for the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY) as part of its Fiscal Year 2014-15 budget. The continued expansion of SHIN-NY, coordinated by the New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC), will provide more effective coordination of care for an ever-growing community of patients across the entire state.
New York regional exchanges participating in SHIN-NY and contributing to its success include J2 clients BHIX, Healthix, and Hixny, as well as organizations J2 has supported in partnership with NYeC such as Interboro RHIO, Southern Tier Health Link (STHL), and Taconic Health Information Network and Community (THINC).
